Some Shop Miscellany

Some more about the new store. This'll be a bit of a scattershot post, but hopefully it helps.

If you see a problem, please by all means let me know. As always I can still be emailed at Dan@gnomespunyarn.com eventually I'll figure out what I'm doing with that, but not right now. You can also click the "Email Me" link at the bottom of the site.

Oh! right. I made two blogs. This is the blog blog. Where I'll post about... you know... stuff. Site stuff, my crafting stuff, stuff. The other one is "Shop Updates" and will be just that, shop updates. This will let people follow just that if they only want the updates to the actual shop. I'm going to try to blog more, but we'll see how that goes. One of the consequences of... things... is that I don't multitask on multiple projects as well as I used to. I'm still learning how to handle that shift.

Searching in the store. Though the store itself is not sorted that way, everything is tagged! So, if you use the search function you should be able to find all the "downs wool" or "finewool" or everything "blue" or by breed, etc. (I hope)!

I will likely eventually add sub-menu items to sort things like that. But for now I decided that getting things rolling was the better part of valor.

As you might have noticed from the shop, I'm making spindles now! It's fun. I still don't have a lathe, but I do have a laser! Bzzzwshh. LASER ALL THE THINGS. I'm still learning how to get the best finishes and such, but I test all the spindles before listing them to make sure they spin well. These are more repeatable than colorways, so if you want one that's out or with a different wood, just let me know! There'll likely be a lot more coming in this vein. I'm also experimenting with some other things on it. We shall see...

So uh... I guess that's all for now about the shop! I might try to add a gallery but have to figure out the mechanics of doing it attractively.

Hope to see you soon!
