Spindle (Low Whorl) - Neolithic Auroch
Design comes from an engraved neolithic bone disk from Mas D'Azil. Carved ~16,000 years BCE. Last two images are the bone disk.
Top of the spindle/disk is an adult female Auroch. Bottom of the spindle/disk is a juvenile Bison. Auroch mothers would sometimes adopt bison calves similar to cattle and bison.
